Film as Film

A podcast from two members of the collective, talking about the movies they can't stop thinking about — on purpose, and out loud.

What it is

Film as Film is a conversation, not a review show. Two members of the 401 Film Series sit down with the same tenet the collective was built on — that every film is worth loving — and actually work out why, one movie at a time.

Same democratic spirit, same appetite for the overlooked and the kitschy and the occasionally indefensible. Just now, you can put in earbuds and come along.

The Predator

In our inaugural episode we discuss the 2018 sci-fi, action, comedy, commentary on the future of humanity film The Predator. Starring Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn, and directed by Predator franchise veteran Shane Black, this film is such a stunner of a film it inspired the creation of Film as Film.

We talk about its ropy dialogue, its bizarre commentaries, and the joy of film.
